Assistant Professor- Ms. Takshashila Jadhav

Takshashila Jadhav is M.A, M.Ed NET in Education; currently pursuing Ph.D has profound interest in working for the betterment of the society. She is a proactive, result oriented professional delivering excellence through effective communication, coordination, planning and execution. She constantly persuades and guides her students for social transformation through education. Her quest enticed her to design and publish a MOOC on Human Rights Education under the aegis of OE4BW International Online Mentoring program 2019, UNESCO. She has also delivered a Video lecture on yearly Eduscope, UNESCO Chair, Slovenia. In 2021 her proposal for another MOOC on Social Justice Education got accepted by OE4BW, platform, UNESCO.  Under her able guidance and leadership her students have held several street-plays in different parts of Mumbai city, on various issues, spreading awareness and providing solutions in the form of various schemes and provisions to overcome the existent follies creeping from the socio-cultural, traditional, economical and political domains of the society. Her urge to foster just and humane conditions to co-exist harmoniously have been praised and appreciated by the community and have also won critical acclaim in the local newspapers.

  • Conducted Faculty Development Program for Support Staff for the academic year 2015-16 from 22nd to 25th July 2015 .The program was specially organized to groom the support staff members of KJSCCERT in English communication skills. The training was imparted with digital language lab where the focus was to enrich the candidates with spoken English. Each candidate was given special attention as each one did the task by individually logging into the system.
  • Conducted A 15 day Development Program for Support Staff from 27th October to 15th November 2015 to groom the support staff members of the institute and sister institutes of Somaiya in Business English Communication skills and informal English Communication skills.
  • Organized English Speaking Course to train the students of K.J. Somaiya Nursing College and K.J. Somaiya Vocational Training institute from Oct 19th to September 30th 2014. The program was conducted for grooming the students in the nuances of English Speaking skills, Grammar and Writing skills.
  • Conducted a one day Faculty Development Program for the teachers of S.K. Somaiya Vinay Mandir High School on -innovative Teaching Methods in English on 3rd Feb,2017
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Ambedkar Thoughts. University of Mumbai, April-May 2018
  • Recognized as a Teacher at University of Mumbai for the Master Degree (by Papers) in Education with effect from 2017.
  • Appointed as an examiner of the University of Mumbai for Bachelor of Education (Revised) examinations for the subject of Language across Curriculum
  • Video Presentation in yearly EDUSCOPE 2021, Slovenia. in Hub Society, Peace, Gender, Justice and Equity coordinated by Naomi Wahls.   • Presented video lecture in OE4BW yearly EDUSCOPE, OE4BW online Post-Event, October 14, 2020. The Course on Human Rights Education was approved by OE4BW, UNESCO, Slovenia on 9th March 2021
  • Audit Member of Central Level Committee Meeting for conferring prestigious awards on Teaching and Non Teaching staff of Bhabha atomic Research Center’s atomic Energy Education Society School no-6 on 23rd August 2016

    Completed two weeks interdisciplinary online Refresher Course on the theme- Feminist Teaching and Research in Higher Education: Theory and Practice. From 23rd July to 6th August 2021 with Grade A+, from Teaching Learning Centre Ramanujan College (Accredited Grade A by NAAC),  University of Delhi.
